Windows XP Tip:

1) Click on Start, Run, Type REGEDIT and Click OK
2) Click on the pluses (+) next to the following keys

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
• Software
• Microsoft
• Windows
• Current Version
• Explorer
• Advanced

3) Right-click in the Right Side Panel and choose New > DWORD Value
4) Type StartMenuFavorites as the name of the key
5) Double-click on the StartMenuFavorites Key and Change the value to 1 and click OK
6) Close the Registry Editor and Reboot

How to create PDF file

Adobeသည္ Portable Document Format လို႔ေခၚတဲ့ အလြန္ေကာင္းမြန္တဲ့ PDF Formatကို ထုတ္ခဲ့ပါသည္။ PDF readerသည္ အလြန္ေကာင္းပါသည္။ ျမန္ဆန္၍ မိမိဖြင့္လိုေသာ ပံုစံမ်ားႏွင့္ Fileမ်ားကိုလည့္ Printလုပ္၍ ဖန္တီးႏိုင္ပါသည္။

၁။ သင္၏ကြန္ပ်ဳတာတြင္ Foxit Reader (သို႔) Adobe Reader ရွိရပါမည္။ မရွိပါက ဤ website တြင္ ၀င္၍ Adobe Readerျဖစ္ျဖစ္၊ Foxit Readerျဖစ္ျဖစ္ Downloadယူ၍ Installလုပ္ပါ။

၂။ ျမန္မာလို ရိုက္ထားတဲ့ Document fileေတြကို PDFအျဖစ္ေျပာင္းမယ္ဆိုရင္ ေျပာင္းလို႔ရတဲ့ program ရွိဖို႔ လိုပါတယ္။ ဥပမာ - CutePDFတို႔ PDF createrတို႔ေပ့ါ။ Downloadလုပ္ရန္ ဤ Website ကိုသြားပါ။ ထို႔ေနာက္ Office and Newsမွ Moreကိုႏွိပ္၍ CutePDF writerကို Downloadယူပါ။ Installလုပ္လိုက္ပါ။
မွတ္ခ်က္။ ။Installလုပ္တဲ့အခါ Internet connection ရွိဖို႔လိုပါသည္ဆိုသည့္ Informationေလး ထြက္လာပါမည္။ okႏွိပ္ရပါမည္။

၃။ မိမိေျပာင္းလိုေသာ Document fileကိုဖြင့္ပါ။ File menuမွ Printကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။ (သို႔) Ctrl +P
၄။ Print မွ Printer Nameကိုေရြးပါ။ Printer nameမွ CutePDF Writerကိုေရြးလိုက္ပါ။ Print buttonကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။
၅။ ထို႔ေနာက္ PDF file သိမ္းရန္အတြက္ Fileအမည္ေပး၍ Saveႏွိပ္ပါ။ ဒါဆိုရင္ PDFဖိုင္း ေျပာင္းလိုက္ပါသည္။

Window Defrag does not complete

If you have ever used Windows, you have probably worked with the Defrag program used to rearrange blocks of data so the computer runs efficiently.
In order for the Defrag program to complete no data must change on the hard drive. If some data is moved during the defrag operation, then the program restarts. Many times, you can bypass this problem by simply restarting your computer in safe mode and then running defrag. If your computer still does not finish a defrag then continue reading for more hints and help in completing a defrag of your hard drive.

1. Disable Screen Saver, Power Management and more

Window XP/ Vista
To turn off the screen saver follow these steps.

1. Right-click on the desktop
2. Click on Properties
3. Click on the Screen Saver tab
4. Set the Screen Saver to None
5. Click Ok

2.Close All Running Programs

1. With no other programs open, Right-click on a blank area on the Start Bar (the area reaching from the Start button to the Time), click on Task Manager.
2. Click on the Process tab, then click on the User Name heading to group all running processes
3. Look under the User Name heading for the logged in user
4. Examine the list of programs running under the user. You should only keep explorer.exe running. To close the other programs, click on a program in the list and choose End Process.
5. Repeat step 4 until only explorer.exe is left running under the current user.

Now run the defrag program. It should complete.


Extra steps before Defragmenting your Hard Drive

Empty Temp Files and the Recycle Bin
Its always a good idea to empty your recycle bin and delete any temp files before running defrag. Although you can do this manually, I prefer using CCleaner to do this. You can download CCleaner by cliking here.

Turning off Task Scheduler

If you have any scheduled tasks and they start while defrag is running, defrag will have to restart. For this reason, its a good idea to pause the task scheduler while running a defrag. To do this follow these steps.

1. Click on Start, All Programs
2. Click on Accessories
3. Click on System Tools
4. Click on Scheduled Tasks
5. On the menu at the top of the screen, click on Advanced
6. Click on Pause Task Scheduler
7. Close all open windows
8. To restart the Task Scheduler, follow steps 1 - 5 above, then click Continue Task Scheduler

Turn off Power Management

Because a defrag of your hard drive may take some time, power management features such as turning off your monitor or hard drives after so many minutes of inactivity might affect the defrag. To turn off power management, follow these steps.

1. Click on Start, Run
2. Type powercfg.cpl and press Enter
3. Under Power Schemes set everything to Never and click ok

(၄) ထို႔ေနာက္ Invite dialog boxေလးတစ္ခု ေပၚလာေသာအခါ "en2mm3@mmgeeks.org"လိပ္စာကို ရိုက္ထည့္ပါ။ Send Invites bottonကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။

(၅) ဒါဆိုရင္ "em2mm3"ဆိုသည့္ Userတစ္ခုေပၚလာပါမည္။ မိမိသိလိုေသာ Englishစာလံုး၏ ျမန္မာအဓိပၸာယ္ေပၚလာေစရန္ Englishစာလံုး ရိုက္ထည့္ပါ။ Enter ေခါက္လိုက္ပါ။

To show/ Hide Drive Letters in Vista and Windows 7

အကယ္၍ သင္သည္ Windows Vist(သို႔) Windows 7 စသံုးေနၿပီဆိုလွ်င္ ရိုးရွင္းေသာ Tweakကို ရွာေဖြ ေတြ႔ရွိလိမ့္မည္။ သို႔ေသာ္ အခ်ိဳ႔ေသာ Usersမ်ား ဒီလိုလြယ္ကူသည့္အရာကို သိရွိႏိုင္မည္ မဟုတ္ပါ။ ထို႔ေၾကာင့္ Windwos Vista (သို႔) Windows 7မွာ လုပ္ေဆာင္ႏိုင္သည့္ Drive letters (C:, D: and others)စသည္တို႔ကို ဖြက္ထားႏိုင္ပါသည္။

(၁) ဦးစြာ My Computerကို ဖြင့္ပါ။

(၂) Menu barတြင္ ရွိေသာ Organizeကိုႏွိပ္၍ Folders and Search Optionsကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။

(၃) Folder Optionsေအာက္မွ View tabကိုႏွိပ္ၿပီး Show Drive Lettersကို အမွန္ျခစ္ ျဖဳတ္ပါ။

(၄) ဒါဆိုရင္ မိမိ၏ Drive သည္ Unlabledလို႔ စာသားေျပာင္းသြားပါမည္။ မိမိေပးလိုေသာ အမည္ကို ေပးပါ။ (၅) ဒီပံုကေတာ့ မေျပာင္းခင္ပံု။

(၆) ဒါကေျပာင္းၿပီး နာမည္ေပးထားသည့္ပံု။

သိပ္ေတာ့ အေရးမၾကီးေပမယ့္ လုပ္တတ္ရင္ ေပွ်ာ္တာေပါ့။

မိမိ၏ ကြန္ပ်ဴတာထဲတြင္ရွိေသာ Local Diskမ်ားအား ဖ်က္လိုပါက ...

၁) Desktopေပၚတြင္ရွိေသာ My Computer Iconေပၚတြင္ R-clickႏွိပ္၍ Manageကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။

၂) Computer Management ေအာက္တြင္ Disk Managementကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။

၃) အလယ္ panelတြင္ Locla Disk (C)ႏွင့္ (D)ကို ေတြ႔ပါလိမ့္မည္။ Local Disk (D)ေပၚတြင္ R-clickႏွိပ္၍ ေပၚလာေသာ Menuမွ Change Drive letters and pathsကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။


၄) Dialog boxထြက္လာေသာအခါ Remove ကိုႏွိပ္၍ OKကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။ ဖြက္ထားလိုက္ပါၿပီ။ ပံုအတိုင္း ေပ်ာက္သြားပါၿပီ။






၅) ျပန္ေဖၚလိုပါက - Computer Management > Disk Managment > R-click " " > Change Drive Letters and pahtsႏွိပ္ပါ။

၆) ေနာက္ Dialog boxတြင္ Addကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။


၇) ေနာက္ dialog box တစ္ခုတြင္ Addလုပ္ရန္ Dကို ေရြးထားသျဖင့္ Ok ႏွိပ္ရံုပါ။ ဒါဆိုရင္ D ျပန္ေပၚလာပါၿပီ။

ဤသင္ခန္းစာႏွင့္ ပတ္သတ္၍ တင္ျပဖို႔ အခ်ိန္ၾကာသြားပါသည္။ အဘယ္ေၾကာင့္ဆိုေသာ္ ၂၀၀၉ Januaryလက ထုတ္လြင့္ေသာ Windows 7ကို စိတ္၀င္စားသြားၿပီး ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ရဲ့ ကြန္ပ်ဴတာမွာလည္း Windows 7 တင္ျဖစ္လိုက္တယ္။ ကၽြန္ေတာ့အျမင္မွာေတာ့ Window Vistaထက္ ေကာင္းတယ္လို႔ ထင္ပါတယ္။ ပို၍ ျမန္ဆန္လာပါတယ္။ Vistaကို သံုးရတာ သိပ္အဆင္မေျပဘူး။ မဆင္မေျပတာက XPေလာက္ မေကာင္းလို႔ပါ။ ေတာ္ေသးပါရဲ့ မ၀ယ္ျဖစ္တာ။ ကဲ ေကာင္းၿပီ။ Windows 7 နဲ႔ပဲ တင္ျပသြားပါမယ္။

User Account ဖန္တီးရန္ ....

၁) Desktopေပၚမွာရွိတဲ့ My Computer Iconေပၚတြင္ R-clickႏွိပ္၍ ေပၚလာသည့္ Menuမွ Manageကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။

၂) Computer Management Windowမွ Left panelတြင္ Local Users and Groupsေအာက္မွ User ကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။

၃) ထို႔ေနာက္ Users panelတြင္ လြတ္ေနေသာ ေနရာ၌ R-clickႏွိပ္၍ ေပၚလာေသာ Menuမွ New Userကို
ႏွိပ္ပါ။

၄) New User dialog boxတြင္ User name, Full name, Description, Password, Confirm passwordတို႔
ကို မိမိလိုသလို ရိုက္ထည့္လိုက္ပါ။ ပံုတြင္ ျပထားသည့္အတိုင္း ကိုးကားပါ။ ထို႔ေနာက္ Confirm password
ေအာက္တြင္ User cannot change password (သို႔) Password never expiresကို ေရြးပါ။ ထို႔ေနာက္
Create ကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။ ၿပီးက Close buttonကို ႏွိပ္ပါ။ ဖန္တီးၿပီးသြားပါၿပီ။ သို႔ေသာ္ ထိုuserသည္ ရိုးရိုး User
သာျဖစ္သည္။



- မိမိျပဳလုပ္လိုက္ေသာ Userေပၚတြင္ R-clickႏွိပ္၍ Propertiesကို ႏွိပ္လိုက္ပါ။

၆) Moe properties dialog box တြင္ Tab သံုးခုမွ Member of tabကို ႏွိပ္လိုက္၍ Add buttonကို
ဆက္ႏွိပ္ပါ။


၇) ထို႔ေနာက္ Select Groups dialog boxမွ Advancedကို ဆက္ႏွိပ္ပါ။ ထို႔ေနာက္ Select Groups dialog
box ေနာက္တစ္ခုေပၚလာပါမည္။

- ထို dialog boxမွ Find now ကိုႏွိပ္၍ မိမိ ေပးလိုေသာ User typeကို ေရြးခ်ယ္လိုက္ပါ။ ဥပမာ -
Administrator ဆိုပါစို႔။ ေရြးခ်ယ္ၿပီးက Ok ကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။ ေနာက္ Okကို ဆက္ႏွိပ္ပါ။


၈) ဒါဆိုရင္ User type ယူၿပီးသြားပါၿပီ။ မိမိ၏ User groupသည္ ႏွစ္ခုျဖစ္ေနပါသည္။ ၄င္းတို႔မွာ
Administratorႏွင့္ Usersတို႔ျဖစ္သည္။ Userကို ဖ်က္ပစ္ႏိုင္ပါသည္။

၉) ဖ်က္ပစ္ရန္ - Moe properties dialog boxမွ Userကို Selectလုပ္၍ Removeႏွိပ္ပါ။ ထို႔ေနာက္ Apply
ႏွိပ္၍ Ok ဆက္ႏွိပ္ပါ။ ၿပီးပါၿပီ။

မွတ္ခ်က္။ ။ သင္သည္ User ကန္႔သတ္ခ်က္ႏွင့္ ပတ္သတ္၍ Userတစ္ခု၏ လုပ္ေဆာင္ႏိုင္မွဳ အခ်က္ အလက္မ်ားကို ကန္႔သတ္ႏိုင္ပါသည္။ ဥပမာ- Administrator, Power User, Local User, User စသည္ျဖင့္ သတ္မွတ္ႏိုင္ပါသည္။
